Observation Eco Tours
&
Montana Eco Adventures
There
are always things to do in Montana. Your Montana adventures will
begin on your Nature Observation Eco Tours, combining a wilderness
pack trip into Montana's stunning Bob Marshall Wilderness with a
hands-on ecology workshop. A professional naturalist will teach
you things about the high country eco-systemthe wildlife,
the plants, the fish, the geology and the climate.
On
our Montana eco tours you will also learn many things about the
history of the area including the Native Americans, explorers and
mountain men who trekked across the wilderness.
You
can be certain you'll come away with a profound knowledge of this
grand wilderness and the things that make it so special in Montana.
These adventures and eco tours are for people who like to combine
outdoor adventure with an education.
Lewis
and Clark set off on an adventure to learn as much as they could
about Montana, this land and the people they encountered as they
explored the West; think of our Nature Observation Tours as your
own personal Corps of Discovery.
Our base camp for the Nature Observation Eco Tours are in the remote
Montana Danaher Valley, in the drainage of the famous South Fork
of the Flathead River. From this camp along the headwaters of Danaher
Creek, you'll spend your days exploring with the naturalist.
Some of the things to do in Montana include day rides on our gentle
saddle horses to nearby peaks, including Flint and Danaher mountains.
You may see elk, deer, wolves, bears, coyotes and moose from the
trail. Along streams and lakes, you may see beavers and otters making
their homes in the clear, cold alpine waters.
Have you ever wondered how all of these wild animals thrive at high
altitude and how the wilderness habitat supports them? An eco-trip
is the way to find out all these things about Montana.
The naturalist will also show you how forest fires have affected
the wilderness eco-system . . . how it can both destroy and restore
habitat.
Of course, you'll also have plenty of time to do some fishing.
In
camp, you'll sleep in big, comfortable wall tents and enjoy hearty
meals prepared by a professional backcountry cook. The Nature Observation
Tours are also staffed by a guide and wrangler.
At
night, after the adventures of the day, when you step away from
the camp fire, you'll see more stars in the Montana sky than you
have ever seen before.
Our
Nature Observation Eco Tours are a unique way to experience America's
most pristine landscape. Call us to schedule your adventures and
an extraordinary wilderness vacation!
