The
3-Bar-E Brand There's
a lot of history behind our brand. We bought this outfitting business
in 1969 from Tom Edwards, a legendary wilderness guide and outfitter
who led trips into the surrounding high country long before it was
officially designated as the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area. The Hobnail
Tom Trail in the Bob Marshall was even named after him. Years
later, Tom helped convince the U.S. Congress to set aside another
240,000 acres as the Scapegoat Wilderness Area on the southern edge
of the Bob. When he first established his White Tail
Ranch in 1937, Tom created the 3-Bar-E brand to represent the three
E's, as in Edwardshimself, his wife and his son. We're proud
that for more than 60 years, horses and mules wearing the 3-Bar-E
brand have carried people and their supplies into the nearby wilderness.
