About Us - The Team

One of the most rewarding parts of this job is doing it side-by-side with a group of passionate and supremely competent outdoorsman. This team of highly motivated and capable individuals is the backbone of our operation and we owe our success to them.

When We're In The Mountains, We're Alive, And There's No Place We'd Rather Be.

Luke BodenhausenLuke Bodenhausen, Guide and Packer

Luke was raised in Missouri on his family’s farm before moving to Kansas at the age of 14. He was intimately involved in the operations of the farm where they raised cattle and harvested corn, wheat, and soy beans. Since he was old enough to walk he began hunting whitetail deer and fishing bass and pike, and grew up constantly watching hunting and fishing shows. After graduating from high school, he worked for a concrete company for several years before taking a stab at a dream – pursuing a vocation as a guide. After attending a guide school in northwest Montana, Luke worked for an outfitter there for three years as a guide, packer, and wrangler, leading summer pack trips, fishing clinics, and guiding elk, deer, and bear hunts in the Bob Marshall Wilderness and surrounding area. During the winter months Luke puts to work his natural talent of interacting with youngsters and works as a kids ski instructor at Breckenridge ski hill in Colorado.

Brant PalmerBrant Palmer, Guide and Packer

Brant grew up in western Washington in a cabin with no power or running water. From the age of ten he was hunting, trapping, fishing, and backpacking in Olympic National Park and the Cascades. He started guiding when he was 21 and for the past five years has guided elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, black bear, and mountain lion hunts, as well as guided summer pack trips and river fishing trips, in the backcountry of Idaho and Montana. For two years he packed in supplies for the Chalets in Glacier National Park and worked for the National Park Service as a packer. He now has his own part-time contract packing company.

Brant has lived in Montana for the past three years and looks forward to planting roots here because of the great outdoor opportunities and the many outdoor-minded folks.

Dennis ClarkGreg Ward, Backcountry Cook

Greg, an avid outdoorsman, comes to us via Alaska, Oklahoma, and Montana. He was born and raised in Helena and eventually settled in Oklahoma, where he raised his family and owned a real estate firm for 20 years. After divesting himself of the real estate company, Greg decided (at the urging of his three grown, lovely daughters) to pursue his passion: cooking. His first love of food came from cooking in the kitchen with his mom as a kid, then carried over as he worked at his family’s Italian restaurant in Oklahoma – and it never died. Greg has worked as a corporate chef for Verizon, at an exclusive country club in Oklahoma, and at a lodge in Alaska. Some of his favorite dishes are seared duck with raspberry chipotle sauce, garlic seared salmon with lemon beurre blanc, butter and parsley poached halibut, and raspberry white chocolate bread pudding. He’s beyond enthusiastic about creating culinary experiences for hunters and pack trippers in the beauty of the backcountry (and not being in an office!).

Seth BodenhuasenSeth Bodenhuasen, Wrangler and Packer

Like Luke, Seth grew up on the family farm in Missouri and was heavily involved in all of its operations from a young age. Seth has always loved the outdoors and grew up fishing bass and northern pike and hunting pheasant and quail in the Dakotas and Midwest. Since graduating from high school, he has done carpentry and construction work, hiking and downhill mountain biking in the summer, and been a children’s ski instructor at Breckenridge Ski Resort and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Seth is excited to pursue a new path in the backcountry and gain the knowledge and skills that goes along with it.
